Jayeshbhai Jordaar
Jayeshbhai Jordaar is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language social comedy film produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by newcomer Divyang Thakkar.[1] Ranveer Singh plays the titular lead role of a Gujarati man who believes in equal rights between males and females in the society whereas actress Shalini Pandey is making her Hindi film debut and Boman Irani & Ratna Pathak Shah portray supporting characters.[2]

Jayeshbhai Jordaar was announced in May 2019 and the filming started on 4 December 2019 before wrapping up in February 2020.[3] Initially announced as a Gandhi Jayanti 2020 release, Jayeshbhai Jordaar is awaiting a theatrical release.[4][5]

Production
The announcement of the film was done on 27 May 2019, to be directed by newcomer Divyang Thakkar and produced by Yash Raj Films, starring Ranveer Singh in lead role of the titular Gujarati man.[8] Singh's first look was released on 4 December 2019 to announce that the first schedule of the film has been kicked off in Mumbai.[9] Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak were cast as Singh's parents while South actress Shalini Pandey was paired opposite him in her Hindi debut.[10] The Gujarat shooting portion commenced in January 2020 and film wrapped up on 7 February 2020.[11]
Release
Jayeshbhai Jordaar was initially scheduled to hit theatrical screens on 2 October 2020 coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti.[4] However, the filmmakers are holding the film until it can be released in theatres.[5]
