Jef van Vliet

Jef van Vliet (born 25 July 1949 in Etten-Leur, Netherlands) was a Dutch international football referee and politician.[1]

Career

Van Vliet refereed 207 matches in Eredivisie between 1985-97. He officiated an international match and was member of FIFA in 1992–1994.[1] He refereed the 1992-93 Dutch Cup Final between Ajax-SC and Heerenveen 6:2.[2] He was referee for the EURO 1996 qualifying match between Moldova and Germany (0:3).[3] He officiated 6 Japan football league matches in 1997.[4]

In club football, he officiated UEFA competition matches such as the UEFA Cup and the UEFA qualifiers.[5]

Personal life

After his refereeing career, van Vliet began to work in local party APB Etten-Leur as a politician. He resigned in 2020.[6]
