John Taft
John Philip Taft (born March 8, 1954 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is a retired professional ice hockey defenseman.

Although Taft played 15 National Hockey League regular season games with the Detroit Red Wings in 1978–79, he spent most of his career in the minor leagues. As an amateur he played for the US team in the 1976 Winter Olympics as well as the University of Wisconsin–Madison men's hockey team in the early 1970s. He also represented the United States in the 1973, 1974 and 1975 Ice Hockey World Championship tournaments. His daughter is Jenny Taft who works for Fox Sports 1 including being moderator Skip and Shannon: Undisputed and his son-in-law is Matt Gilroy, a former NHL Defenseman.
