Joseph M. Young
Joseph M. Young is an American diplomat who became chargé d'affaires ad interim at the U.S. Embassy Tokyo on July 20, 2019 after the resignation of Bill Hagerty. Young is a career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service who served as Deputy Chief of Mission at Embassy Tokyo from 2017 to 2019.[1][2]

Education
Young earned a bachelor's degree in classics at the Collegio Borromeo[1] and a Master of Science in foreign service at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.
