Judith D. Sally

Judith D. Sally (born March 23, 1937)[1] is a Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at Northwestern University.[2] Her research is in commutative algebra.[3]

Career

Sally received her PhD in Mathematics from University of Chicago in 1971.[3][4] She joined the faculty at Northwestern University in 1972.[3][4]

In 1977 she received a Sloan Fellowship.[5] In 1995 she was invited to give the AWM Noether Lecture for fundamental and sustained contributions to the mathematical sciences.[3] She has published several books on Mathematics Education with her husband[4] Paul Sally, a professor at University of Chicago.
