Katherine Creag

Katherine Creag (born December 26, 1973) is a Filipino-American television journalist.

Early life and education

Born Of Filipino-American descent, she attended college at New York University, located in New York City, New York. During college, Creag received practice in newscasting while finishing a senior project.

Career

Her news career began at NY1 television in New York City. In November 2010, Creag joined WNYW-TV,[1] also in New York City, where she reported for the channel's Good Day New York and Fox 5 Midday newscasts.

Since 2011, Creag has been a news reporter for WNBC television in New York City. She reports primarily for the channel's morning news show: Today in New York, which airs from 4:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. She can also be seen on the Saturday and Sunday programs Weekend Today in New York and News 4 New York at 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.[2]

Awards

Creag received an Emmy Award for an interview with John F. Kennedy, Jr.. She also received an Edward R. Murrow Award for her journalism.[3]

Personal life

She resides in New York City's Manhattan borough with her husband and their kids, Jackson Danger Gafner, Gemma Darling Gafner, and Josephine Dae Gafner.
