Kito de Pavant
Kito de Pavant whose whole name is Christophe Fourcault de Pavant is a is a French sailor born on 23 February 1961 in Saint-Pardoux-la-Rivière in the Dordogne region.[1][2]

Vendee Globe attempts
In 2008-2009 Vendée Globe on a boat sponsored by the Bel group, the day after the start, his mast was broken by the storm in the Bay of Biscay and he abandoned the race. In 2012 he participated in the 2012-2013 Vendée Globe on the same boat unlucky, he was hit by a trawler on the third day of the race and retires to the Cascais.[3] Thing got even worse in 2016-2017 Vendée Globe when he was forced to abandon his boat Bastide Otio following a collision with a sperm whale.[4][5][6]
