Korkut Yaltkaya
Korkut Yaltkaya (27 May 1938 - 23 December 2001) was a Turkish academician.

He was born in İstanbul on 27 May 1938. He graduated from Ankara Atatürk High School in 1955 and Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1962.
In 1966, he became a neuropsychiatrist at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. He worked on electromyography with a Danish government scholarship at the Clinical Neurophysiology Laboratory of the University of Copenhagen in 1967. He became a docent at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1971, with his thesis about patellar reflex. When he became a professor in 1979, he founded the Neurology Department of Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in Antalya. He served as head of this department for 22 years until his death.
When Korkut Yaltkaya died on 23 December 2001, he was known as one of Turkey's two most important neurophysiologists. Two days after his death, a ceremony was held at Akdeniz University for him. Since 23 December 2006, a clinical neurophysiology symposium on behalf of him has been organized by Akdeniz University every december.
Korkut Yaltkaya was the son of Mehmet Şerefettin Yaltkaya who was the 2nd president of religious affairs of Turkey.
