Leem Lubany

Leem Lubany (Arabic: ليم لباني, Hebrew: לים לובאני; born (1997-08-31)August 31, 1997) is an Arab-Israeli actress of Palestinian descent.[3][4] She identifies as a Palestinian.[4] She is known for her role as Nadia in the 2013 film Omar, and as Gabrielle Joubert in the series Condor.[5]

Early life and education

Lubany was born in Nazareth, Israel, to an Arab family of Palestinian descent.[3][4] She described herself as Palestinian.[6] She was a senior at Harduf Waldorf School in kibbutz Harduf, when she made her professional film debut in Hany Abu-Assad's Omar.[7]

Career

Lubany made her debut in Omar, despite having no acting training.[7] The film made the 86th Academy Awards's shortlist for Best Foreign Language Film.[8]

In 2014, Leem Lubany appeared in A to B[9] and played the role of Salima in the comedy Rock the Kasbah.[10]
