Lena Henke

Lena Henke (born 1982) is a German sculptor, photographer and installation artist.[1][2]

Henke has exhibited at the Kunstverein Oldenburg,[3] the Kunsthalle Zurich[4] and the Socrates Sculpture Park, New York.[5] Henke's work is included in the collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art.[1]

Life and education

She studied at the Glasgow School of Art and the Städelschule, Frankfurt/Main where she graduated in 2010 in the class of Michael Krebber. Today she lives in Berlin and New York City and has participated in several international exhibitions. Her works can be found at the Whitney Museum of American Art,[1] among other institutions.

Her sculptural works, often condensed into complex installations, move within the thematic field of architecture, urban and landscape planning, human relationships, sexuality and fetishism with references to aesthetic concepts from art history.
