Madelyn Cline

Madelyn Renee Cline (born December 21, 1997) is an American actress. She is known for her starring role as Sarah Cameron on the Netflix teen drama series Outer Banks.[1][2]

Career

Cline was born in Charleston, South Carolina, to Pam Cline, a real estate agent, and Mark Cline, an engineer.[3] When younger, she spent summers in New York City working on television commercials, some being for T-Mobile and Sunny D.[4] After graduating from Charleston Day School, she enrolled at Coastal Carolina University, but dropped out when she was 19 to pursue acting.[1] She soon got to start with small roles such as Chloe in Boy Erased and Taylor Watts in Vice Principals.[5] She also had small recurring roles in The Originals and Stranger Things.[1] In 2018, she was cast as Sarah Cameron in the Netflix original series Outer Banks,[6] the first season of which was released on April 15, 2020.[7] The show received positive reviews, and a second season was confirmed in July 2020.[8] In September 2020, Cline and Chase Stokes starred in the music video for Kygo and Donna Summer's single "Hot Stuff."[9]

Personal life

Cline was raised in Goose Creek, South Carolina,[10] near Charleston.[11] Cline enjoys photography, drawing, road trips, hiking and wakeboarding.[10] She also has one brother, Brett Herring.

Cline is currently in a relationship with her Outer Banks co-star Chase Stokes, which Stokes himself made public via an Instagram[12] post uploaded on June 14, 2020.[13]
