Mashadi Mammad Farzaliyev
Mashadi Mammad Farzaliyev (Azerbaijani: Məşədi Məmməd Fərzəliyev, 1872 — 1962) was an Azerbaijani khananda.[1]

Biography
Mashadi Mammad Farzaliyev was born in 1872 in Shusha, Azerbaijan. He left Shusha in early ages, lived and worked in Ganja for a while, then moved to live in Tbilisi, Batumi, Vladikavkaz, Istanbul and other cities. Khananda was known throughout the Transcaucasia, Central Asia, Turkey and even in many European countries.[2]
Mashadi Mammad performed with Tatevos Arutunyan and Mashadi Zeynal at wedding gatherings and folk festivals while he was in Shusha. For the first time, he achieved great success at the Eastern Concert in Shusha Khandamirov's Theater.[2]
"Bayati-Kurd", "Rast", "Shur", "Chahargah", "Zabul-Segah", "Kurdi-Shahnaz", "Heyrati", "Mansuriyya", "Samai-Shams", "Karabakh Shikastasi" , "Arazbari", "Keremi", "Afshari" and other mughams by Mashadi Mammad were welcomed by the general public. Mashadi Mammad gain more popularity and was known as the master of "Shushtar".[3]
Mashadi Mammad Farzaliyev received an invitation in 1912 from "Sport-Record" Company operating in Warsaw. He recorded about 40 mughams, tasnifs and songs to the shaft accompanied by Gurban Pirimov and kamancheh player Sasha Oganezashvili in Warsaw.[4] Then an invitation came from Kiev. The famous artist has recorded mugham and folk songs on the gramophone shaft by the company "Ekstrafon".[1] Mashadi Mammad sang Natavan's ghazals in mugham and songs. Mashadi Mammad was invited to Tbilisi in the spring of 1913 by the Public House named after Zubalov. In 1926, Mashadi Mammad Farzaliyev had performed in many cities in Russia, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, England, Austria, Romania, Turkey and Iran.[5][6]
In 1923, Mashadi Jamil Amirov invited Mashadi Mammad to Ganja for teaching mugham at the city music school.
In 1929 Farzaliyev left for a tour abroad and never returned to Azerbaijan. He lived in Istanbul, Turkey until his death in 1962.[5][7]
