Massimo Mastrorillo
Massimo Mastrorillo (born 1961) is an Italian reporter-photographer[1] in the geographical-social genre.[1] In 2004 he was named International Photographer of the Year at the 5th Annual Lucie Awards;[1] in 2005 (Italia Section Europe) he received the Fujifilm Euro Press Photo Award,[2] in 2006 the World Press Photo[3] and in 2007, both the Pilsner Urquell IPA Professional Photographer of the Year[4] and the FNAC Prize Attenzione Talento Fotografico.[5] He was named Photographer of the Year in 2012.[6]
Mastrorillo has been a judge for the annual Wedding Photojournalist Association’s competition since 2007.[7] His work has been featured in various journals including: New York Magazine,[8] Skinnerboox (for his work on the destruction of L’Aquila)[9] Burn Magazine,[10] Annenberg Space for Photography,[11] Photography Now,[12] Coeval Magazine,[13] Bursa Photofest,[14] Forest,[15] the Photo Lux Festival,[16] Art Place Berlin,[17] Edge of Humanity Magazine,[18] MuseumTVArt,[19] Business Recorder,[20] Sime Photo[21] and International Photography Magazine.[22]
