Maysoon al-Nahar

Maysoon Al-Nahar is Jordanian archaeologist specializing in the Paleolithic, Epipaleolithic and Neolithic of the Southern Levant. She is a professor in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Jordan.[1] She has excavated at many sites in Jordan, the most important of which is :Tell Abu suwwan , Jerash , Madaba , wadi zarqa (ma'in), wadi sabra ,Wadi al Hasa , Tell Abu Niaj's in the jordan valley, Ain ghazal , Umm el jimal , kh.salameh , and on the left bank of the Jordan Valley, researching the first human settlements found there.[2][3]

Al-Nahar has experience in the use of new technologies within the archaeological field, including archaeometry and Radiocarbon dating, as well as paleoenvironmental reconstruction.
