Michael Wirth
Michael Wirth (born 1961) is the present CEO of Chevron Corporation.[1] He started the position in 2017, replacing John S. Watson. Previously he served as the vice chairman of the board of directors of the company.[2]
Career
Wirth joined Chevron in 1982 and worked in multiple sectors including engineering, construction, and operations.[2] He became the president of marketing for Chevron’s Asia, Africa and Middle East region in 2001.[3]
He also served on the board of directors for Caltex Australia Limited and GS Caltex Corporation.[4]
