Mount Hōei
Mount Hōei (Japanese: 宝永山 = Hō-e-i-zan) is a flank volcano on the southeastern side of Mount Fuji (3,776 meters (12,388 ft) above sea level). It emerged as the results of the 1707-08 Hōei eruption of Mount Fuji. Its height is 2,693 meters above sea level, and its name comes from the Hōei era.

Mount Hōei, compared to Mount Fuji, is easier to climb and, at the same time, allows the climbers to enjoy the grandeur of Mount Fuji.[1]
