Nellai Superfast Express
Nellai Superfast Express is a Superfast train operated in and by the Southern Railway zone of the Indian Railways. It runs on all days connecting Chennai Egmore with Tirunelveli Junction via Villupuram, Trichy and Madurai through the chord line.

Coaches
This train is running with 23 coaches which consist of 1 Two-tier AC coach and 6 Three-tier AC coaches and 11 Sleeper coaches and 3 General coaches and 2 generator-cum brake coaches. Nellai Express got LHB coaches on September 3, 2018.
Schedule
This overnight service leaves Chennai Egmore every night as Train No.12631, traversing through Chengalpattu Junction, Viluppuram Junction, Vriddhachalam Junction, Tiruchirappalli Junction, Dindigul Junction, Madurai Junction and Virudhunagar Junction, before finally reaching Tirunelveli Junction the next morning.[2] Vice versa the service numbered 12632 leaves Tirunelveli Junction every night from and reaches Chennai Egmore the next morning through same route.[3][lower-alpha 1]
Traction
Both trains are hauled by an Erode / Arakkonam-based WAP-4 or Royapuram-based WAP-7 locomotive on its entire journey.
