North Suburban Synagogue Beth El
North Suburban Synagogue Beth El is a very large Conservative Jewish synagogue in Highland Park, Illinois. It was founded in 1948 shortly after World War II. Originally a converted Lakeside mansion, it has been greatly expanded over the decades with major new buildings including a very large Hebrew School.[1]
Prominent conservative rabbi Vernon Kurtz serves as head rabbi.[2] Vernon Kurtz is president of the American Zionist Movement.
