Palioi Poroi
Palioi Poroi (Greek: Παλαιοί Πόροι, Palaioí Póroi, [paˈlei ˈpori], lit. 'old Poroi') officially just called Poroi is a mountain village in the Dion-Olympos municipality.[2][note 1] The village of Poroi is a part of the local community of Poroi which also includes small village of Agios Dimitrios and the larger seaside community of Neoi Poroi (lit. 'new Poroi').[1] The village of Poroi has a population of 23 inhabitants as of 2011.[1]

Author, member of the Filiki Eteria, and officer in the Greek War of Independence Christoforos Perraivos was born here.
Economy
The economy of the village is primarily agriculture, mainly producing sugar, beets, corn, and cereal crops. Other products include cotton and livestock.
Religious Sites
The village of Poroi contains numerous religious sites within the community. These include the chapels of St. Nikolaos and St. Dimitrios.[3]
Notes
- Before the 2011 local government reform, it was part of the municipality of East Olympos of which it was a municipal district.
