Pat Quill
Pat Quill is former president of the Ladies' Gaelic Football Association (LGFA).[1][2]
He served separate terms as president in the 1980s, 2000s and 2010s: first, 1985 – 1988; then, 2009 – 2015.
In 2010, he called for the introduction of electronic voting after pioneering its use by the LGFA.[3]
In 2011, Quill promised to provide part of the money required for the New York team's third visit to Ireland that year after the Junior Championship final finished level.[4]
Quill was president of the LGFA when Central Council passed a motion to ensure any All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final replay would not impact on scheduling of the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship final.[5]
In 2014, he criticised the decision to have Cork and Dublin club championship fixtures occurring on the same day of the final of the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship, describing it as "unfair on those people, boyfriends and whatever, not being in a position to come along to support the girls".[6]
