Pink Skies Ahead is a 2020 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Kelly Oxford in her directorial debut. It stars Jessica Barden, Marcia Gay Harden, Michael McKean, Rosa Salazar, Lewis Pullman, Devon Bostick, Odeya Rush, Evan Ross, Henry Winkler and Mary J. Blige.

Production
In March 2019, it was announced Jessica Barden had joined the cast of the film, with Kelly Oxford directing from a screenplay she wrote.[3] In June 2019, Marcia Gay Harden, Henry Winkler, Rosa Salazar, Lewis Pullman Devon Bostick, Mary J. Blige, Michael McKean, Odeya Rush and Evan Ross joined the cast of the film.[4][5]
Principal photography began in Los Angeles in June 2019.[4]
Release
It was scheduled to have its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 13, 2020.[6] However, the festival was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.[7][8] The film was still considered for awards through jury selection.[9] It had its world premiere at the AFI Fest on October 18, 2020.[10] Prior, to MTV Films acquired distribution rights to the film.[11]

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 100% based on 8 reviews, with a weighted average of 7.80/10.[12]
