Plot summary
Pluto chases a kitten through a window and right into Mickey's lap, causing a lot of mess in Mickey's house. Mickey angrily scolds Pluto for his cruel attitude towards cats, adding that he will have "plenty to answer for on (his) judgement day" if he keeps this up. Mickey then goes off to wash the kitten while Pluto falls asleep in front of the fireplace. While asleep, he dreams of being lured into a hell ruled by cats where he is shackled and put on trial as Public Enemy No. 1 for all his crimes against cats (causing one to get flattened by a steamroller, severely traumatizing another with his barking and scaring the uncle of three young kittens into a river, causing his death in the process), much to his complete distress. Pluto is inevitably found guilty and is about to be burned alive by the angry cats when he wakes up after some hot cinder strikes his rear from the fireplace. Pluto rushes off into the tub where Mickey is cleaning the kitten, who licks Pluto in the nose. Developing a new appreciation for cats, Pluto makes up with the kitten by licking him affectionately, much to Mickey's delight.
