Prasun Chatterjee

Prasun Chatterjee (born 30 September 1978) is an Indian geriatrician and author. He is known for being a geriatrician and for his social service.[1][2]

Early life and education

Prasun Chatterjee joined the Bankura Sammilani Medical College and Hospital, where he completed a one-year training in Psychiatry and RG in 2004. He completed two years of training in Thoracic Medicine from Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata. After getting his MD in Geriatric Medicine from Madras Medical College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Chatterjee joined the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi as a senior resident in the newly formed Geriatric Medicine Department.[3][4]

Career

Chatterjee has been working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Geriatric Medicine since 2014.[5] He founded Healthy Aging India (HAI)[6] in 2013, an NGO that works for the empowerment of older Indians.[7] He is also a doctor, academician, and researcher.[7] Chatterjee has also worked to make more than 20000[8] school children across the country aware of the various health problems of their grandparents to strengthen inter-generational solidarity.[9][10]
