Pughoboto (Pron:/ˌzʌnˈhiːbəʊtəʊ/) is a Town and a town area committee in Zunheboto in the state of Nagaland, India.

It is one of the oldest Sub Division in Nagaland, India. The Sumi Naga tribe originated from Pughoboto. Christianity in the Sumi land first came to Ighanumi village, Pughoboto.

Demographics

As of 2011 India census,[2] Pughoboto had a population of 12,477. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Pughoboto has an average literacy rate of 85%, male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 77%. In Pughoboto, 9% of the population is under 6 years of age.
