Writing life
Rajasree started writing short stories when she was a student and won a prize in the short story competition at the Kannur University Arts Festival.[5] After a long hiatus of 20 years, she started writing the story of Kalyani and Dakshayani on Facebook.[6] These two characters became a sensational topic among the readers in Kerala due to the variety of narratives, the uniqueness of the characters and the liveliness of the village life.[7] Later, she developed it into a novel after making some modifications from the version written in facebook.[8] The first edition of the novel Kalyaniyennum Dakshayaniyennum Peraya Randu Sthreekalude Katha (English: The story of two women named Kalyani and Dakshayani) published by Mathrubhumi Books were sold out before it was released, a rarity in the history of book publishing in Malayalam literature.[9][10]
