Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan is the Chairman of the Transworld Group, a global shipping and logistics conglomerate.[1][2][3]

Career

Ramakrishnan has been associated with Transworld Group since 1977 and took over as Chairman in 1989 after the death of his father, the founder.[4][5][6]

He was honoured as ‘The Visionary and Businessman of the Decade’ at the prestigious Maritime and Logistics Awards 2014[7]

Education

Ramakrishnan graduated in commerce from Mumbai University. Currently pursuing the Owners and Presidents Management Course from Harvard Business School, USA [8]

Awards

Ramakrishnan won the Maritime Personality of the Year Award in 2011 at the ceremony of Maritime & Logistics Awards.[9] He won Logistics CEO of the Year in 2013.[10]

Ramakrishnan, was honored at the award ceremony held in Dubai. He received the award in the outstanding category of the Asia & the Pacific Entrepreneurship Award, on 15 April 2015.[11]

Ramakrishnan was elected among the top 100 leaders in 2017 by the Next Generation from the Forbes Middle East Edition.[12] He received Inspirational Leader Award in 2018 on by the Republic TV Gulf Indian Leadership Summit & Awards.[13] Forbes Middle East's Top Indian Leader in the Arab World, 2018.[14]
