Except Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovakia, there were two teams from every country.
Members of the planned first season of Regional Sparkasse League were RK Bosna, RK Borac, HRK Izviđač, RK Zagreb, RK Nexe, RK Metalurg Skopje, HC Vardar PRO – Skopje.
After the idea of forming a Regional Sparkasse League failed, during July 2011 it was agreed that the first season of the SEHA League would start in September 2011.
