Richard Jarvis (politician) is a former American politician from Idaho. Jarvis is a former Republican member of Idaho House of Representatives.

Early life
On October 6, 1950, Jarvis was born in Boise, Idaho.[1]
Education
In 1974, Jarvis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University.[1]
Career
Jarvis was an insurance agent.[1]
On November 4, 2008, Jarvis won the election and became a Republican member of Idaho House of Representatives for District 21, seat A. Jarvis defeated Sharon L. Fisher with 64.0% of the votes.[2][1] In May 2010, as an incumbent, Jarvis lost the Primary election. Jarvis was defeated by John Vander Woude with 47.7% of the votes. Jarvis received 38.3% of the votes.[3]
Personal life
Jarvis' wife is Mary. They have six children. Jarvis and his family live in Meridian, Idaho.[1]
