Sagaing Institute of Education

The Sagaing University of Education (Burmese: စစ်ကိုင်း ပညာရေးတက္ကသိုလ် [zəɡáɪɰ̃ pjɪ̀ɰ̃ɲàjé tɛʔkəθò]), located in Sagaing, Sagaing Region, is one of two senior universities of education in Myanmar. Primarily a teacher training college, the institute offers Bachelor of Education, Master of Education, MPhil, Doctor of Philosophy and Post Graduate Diploma in Multimedia Arts (PGDMA) degree programs in education to the country's prospective primary, secondary and tertiary school teachers. In addition, for years, many of senior lecturers from Sagaing Uninversity of Education (SUOE) have been training in service educators from many universities and public schools under Ministry of Education in short term about pedagogies, Educational assessment, management and administration courses.

Along with the Yangon Institute of Education, the Sagaing Institute of Education is affiliated with 22 educational colleges located throughout the country.[1]
