Samantha Giles
Samantha Elizabeth Giles, (born 2 July 1971) is an English actress, known for portraying the role of Bernice Blackstock in Emmerdale, a role which earned her a TV Quick Award[1] for Best Actress and a nomination for Most Popular Actress at the National Television Awards in 2000.

Career
Acting
From 2003 to 2006, she portrayed Sally Boothe in Where the Heart Is.
Giles' other television credits include Doctors, Dangerfield and Midnight Man. Her stage credits include A Taste of Honey (as Helen), Dead Funny (Lisa), and Season's Greetings (Belinda).[2]
In December 2007, it was announced that Giles was to join the cast of the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks in 2008 as Valerie Holden, a role that was taken over from actress Jacqueline Leonard. She returned in July 2010,[3] and left again in August 2010.
In December 2010, Giles appeared on Celebrity Mastermind where her specialist subject was the works of Alfred Hitchcock.[4]
Giles returned to Emmerdale in 2012, and on 20 September 2019, Giles announced via Twitter that she will be leaving the series later in 2019, as she felt like she needed a change and wanted to look after her two daughters, Eve and Olivia, and spend more time with her husband, Sean.
Writing
In August 2020, her first book will be published entitled Rosemary And The Witches Of Pendle Hill.[5]
