Settings (Apple)
Settings is an application included with the iOS mobile operating system that lets the user change settings.[1] These setting choices control many features of an iPhone or other Apple mobile device, and the application is supported by iOS, CarPlay, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS.[2]
Starting with iOS 11, some Apple ID settings have been moved to the top of the Settings app, including some not previously available through the app.[3]
A search feature to find the setting wanted was added in iOS 8.
Reception
Writing in 9to5Mac, Ben Lovejoy criticized the way some settings are available only via the Settings app, while others are available in the individual apps to which they apply.[4]
It is possible to link to a specific setting, and mby apps do so.
