Shahad Al Rawi
Shahad Al Rawi (born 1986) is an Iraqi writer. She was born and raised in Baghdad, but moved to Syria with her family and now lives in Dubai. Her debut novel The Baghdad Clock (2016) was nominated for the Arabic Booker Prize and has been translated into English by Luke Leafgren.[2] The Baghdad Clock then went onto win the First Book Award at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
