Shantipriya
Shanthamma (born 22 September 1969) better known by her stage name Shanti Priya is an Indian film actress who has worked predominantly in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films.[1] She is credited as Nishanthi in Tamil films and Shanthi Priya in Telugu and Hindi films. She is the younger sister of actress Bhanupriya. She made her television debut with Swastik picture's Mata Ki Chowki as Mata Vaishno Devi by which she earn her fame as house hold name widely.

Career
Nishanti (aka) Shanthipriya acted in several films, including Enga Ooru Pattukaran (1988). She was also seen in the TV sci-fi epic Aryamaan – Brahmaand Ka Yodha opposite Mukesh Khanna in 2002. She acted as a heroine in a few TV serials and films. Shanthipriya made her debut with the Akshay Kumar-starrer Saugandh. She has acted with Mithun Chakraborty in many hit movies such as Mere Sajana Saath Nibhana, Phool Aur Angaar and Meherbaan. She has acted in Hamilton Palace along with Mahakshay Chakraborty, son of Mithun.
Family
Shanthipriya married actor Siddharth Ray in 1995. Siddharth was the grandson of V. Shantaram and has acted in films such as Baazigar and Vansh. They became the parents of two sons within a span of less than five years, before Ray died of a massive heart attack in 2004, at the age of only 40. He was survived by his wife and two sons, Shubham and Sishya both of whom were less than four years old.[2][3]
