History
Silverton Partners was founded by Bill Wood, a founder of Austin Ventures, in 2005.[3] After initially operating as a family office, Silverton Partners launched their first institutional fund with $75 million in 2006 [4] and a second $75 million fund in 2013.[5] The company is currently investing out of its third institutional venture fund, a $108 million fund raised in 2018.[6]
In 2019, Silverton Partners was listed as the most active venture capital firm in Texas for the past five years by CBInsights.[7]
