Sonam Lamba

Sonam Lamba is an Indian television actress known for her character of Vidya Suryavanshi in the popular daily show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya that was broadcast on Star Plus.[1]

Life and career

Birth and early work (1995–2014)

Lamba was born on 26 February 1995 in Chandigarh and initially appeared as Ritu Pandey, younger sister of the titular female protagonist on Desh Ki Beti Nandini (2013–14). Next she was cast in small characters on Balika Vadhu and Diya Aur Baati Hum.[2]

Breakthrough (2015–2018)

In 2015, Lamba rose to limelight with her portrayal of Vidya Suryavanshi in the popular daily soap Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and continued until its culmination in 2017.[3]

Between that, she also starred in an episodic of the crime based series Savdhaan India as Anjali in September 2016.[4]

In April 2018, Lamba was locked for an important role in Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya. However she eventually opted out of the show owing to various changes in story track.[5]
