Southwind High School
Southwind High School is a public high school located adjacent in Shelby County, Tennessee, United States and is a part of Shelby County Schools.
Located northern within the gated community of Southwind in Southeast Memphis and is bordered northeast of the Memphis annexation reserve. Southwind High was under construction in 1988 and opened in 1989 as a freshman school by the Shelby County School Board of Education.[1]
In 2010, its student body was 94% black, while Collierville High School, 10 miles away, had a student body that was 82% white.[2]
