Syed Wahidul Alam
Syed Wahidul Alam is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician & a former Member of Parliament from Chittagong-5.[1]

Career
Alam was a member of the Pro-Pakistani Al Shams paramilitary unit during Bangladesh Liberation war.[2] He is the former Member of Parliament from Chittagong-5 (Hathazari).[3] He served from 1991 to 2006.[4] He was also the whip of the parliament.[5]
Personal life
Alam has a daughter, Shakila Farjana, she is a barrister. She was arrested on 18 August 2015 on charges of financing the terrorist group, Shaheed Hamza Brigade.[6][7]
