Tano District, Ghana
Tano District is a former district that was located in Brong Ahafo Region (now in Ahafo Region), Ghana. In December 2004, Tano North District was split off by a decree of president John Agyekum Kufuor; thus the remaining portion has been since then officially called Tano South District. The district assembly was located in the southwest part of Brong Ahafo Region and had Bechem as its capital town.
