Terhi Hakala

Terhi Hakala is a Finnish diplomat. She is the Ambassador of Finland and will be in charge of the Permanent Representation in the UN in Geneva from 1 September 2016. She started working for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1988.[1]

Before joining Geneva, Hakala worked as a department director for the Eastern department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and earlier Hakala has served as Finland's ambassador in New Delhi in India between 2009–2012[1][2] and at the same time in Kathmandu in Nepal from 2009 to 2011[3] as Head of the OSCE Mission in Georgia and as a rotating ambassador to the South Caucasus.[1]
