The Flunkeys

The Flunkeys were a Berlin-based, English language Punk rock band that was active from 2005 till 2007. It consisted of two members, Kay (vocals, guitar) and Vee (drums). The band's name was supposed to be a skit upon their former boarding school fellows as well as the American government.

Trivia

  • The Flunkeys producer Florian Seeber is a well-known German sound engineer.
  • Vee speaks Russian fluently.
  • When The Flunkeys recorded "No Riot", they decided that Vee should sing "Lynn (These Nights Are Blue)", because Vee thought it would resemble a White Stripes technique, "letting the one who can't sing sing a super-short song".
  • Vee played the guitar on "Never Enough" because Kay didn't know the chords.
  • The artwork for both the single and the album was done by Kay.
