Victoria Atkin
Victoria Atkin (born 28 December 1986) is an English actress. The first television role for which she is known is the character Jason Costello, previously known as Jasmine, in the British soap opera Hollyoaks and Hollyoaks Later as the soap's first character with gender dysphoria. In 2017, she starred as Feena in Extinct. She also starred as Evie Frye in the video game Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

Early years and education
Atkin was born and raised in Farnborough and attended Fernhill School and Language College, studied Dance and Theatre Performance at The University of Chichester in 2008, and took a postgraduate course in Musical Theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2009.[1]
Career
Atkin performed in a touring version of Cinderella with the Globe Players.
She first appeared on Hollyoaks as Jasmine Costello on 2 August 2010.[2] She has admitted that the transgender role she played has been tough.[3] In September 2011, Atkin announced she would be leaving Hollyoaks.[4]
In March 2012, she filmed a one-off guest appearance on the BBC hospital drama Holby City. The episode was broadcast on BBC1 on 26 June 2012.
In 2013, Atkin headed for the U.S. for her first pilot season. Within just a few months, she landed her debut role as Camilla Jones in the Cinemax After Dark comedy/drama series The Girl's Guide to Depravity.
In early 2015, she published her first novel, London Love.
In 2017 Atkin played the role of Feena in BYUtv's sci-fi TV series Extinct.[5]
She used to be a professional slalom skier and grew up playing football.

Awards and nominations
In 2011, Atkin was awarded "Best Serial Drama Performance" and "Best Newcomer" by the Transgender Television Awards, for her portrayal of Jason Costello in Hollyoaks and, the same year, Hollyoaks was awarded "Best Serial Drama" for the Jason Costello storyline.
