Waqar Mohammad

Waqar Mohammad (Urdu: وقار محمد; born 3 October 1968) is a former Pakistani born English cricketer. Mohammad was a right-handed batsman who bowled leg break. He was born at Karachi, Sindh Province.

Mohammad represented the Warwickshire Cricket Board in a single List A match against Lancashire in the 2001 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy.[1] In his only List A match, he scored 2 runs.[2]

Waqar is also well known for his extensive knowledge of Liverpool FC and is a font of useless trivia facts which was a source of annoyance to his friends and colleagues

Family

Mohammad comes from a large Pakistani cricketing family. His father, Wazir Mohammad, played Test cricket for Pakistan. His cousin, Shoaib Mohammad, also represented Pakistan at Test level, as well as playing One Day International cricket. His uncles Sadiq Mohammad, Mushtaq Mohammad and Hanif Mohammad also played Test cricket for Pakistan. Other relatives, Shahid Mohammad, Asif Mohammad, Imraan Mohammad and Raees Mohammad also played first-class and List A cricket.
