Background

The idea of this song was given by Tiger Shroff himself. He said that after his debut film ‘Heropanti’, he received well appreciation from the youth. This was his new life's beginning. Therefore, the video of this song is all about celebrating his new life with the youth. They accepted him graciously, so it was a way of giving them back. He further said: "I took the idea to Ahmed sir and he loved it. He started telling me, 'I will shoot it this way and that way.' After discussing it, we went to Bhushan sir and he also loved the idea. This is how 'Zindagi Aa Raha Hoon Main’ was born.”[2] Same was also shared by Atif Aslam in an interview with 9XE.com.[4]

Atif Aslam said that the single isn't like the soft romantic songs that he had done in the past, it is more energetic. T-Series offered him for this song and he accepted that. It was based on one-time contract. He added that working with Bhushan Kumar is always great as he is very good with the marketing of songs, which he had been doing for a long time.[5]

Pre-release

Before song's shooting, Tiger Shroff was trained by experts in Thailand.[6] Atif Aslam revealed that this song wouldn't be preachy. He further added: "It's just about how you enjoy your life. Whatever you are doing, just enjoy yourself."[7][8]

Release and reception

Release: Song was released on 13 May 2015 by T-Series on YouTube.

Views: The official music video has received over 124 million on YouTube as of 4 January 2021.

Tiger Shroff said:

"Bhushan Kumar's music label T-Seried released and mounted it and promoted it like a film. It has amazing choreography by Ahmed Khan and my own dance teacher Paresh sir. I owe a lot to the fans who made my first film Heropanti superhit. I don't have a lot of fans till now but I dedicate this song to all those who supported and liked Heropanti."[9]

The song reflects Tiger's philosophy that life is full of opportunities and instead of wasting time, one should go and grab them.[6]

The song was an instant hit. Tiger Shroff in an interview with an entertainment site said: “I'm feeling blessed that everyone has accepted me very warmly and graciously, they have been really kind. I am very happy as I never expected such an overwhelming response so early on.”[2] India.com posted, "Visually or musically this composition has not impressed us much. While Atif looks his usual stiff self, Tiger doesn't really go beyond his usual cool moves. This track looks like the extension of Raat Bhar song from Heropanti as the glitter, the sparkle and dance moves look the same with a slightly different theme infused."[10]

Music video

The song's music video features Atif Aslam and Tiger Shroff, pictured top and bottom, respectively.

The music video of the song was shot in Mumbai[9] and it was directed by choreographer Ahmed Khan. It features Tiger Shroff, the son of Jackie Shroff and Atif Aslam. It is set in a college. It starts when all student were sitting quiet, jaded and bored. Tiger Shroff enters hiding his face. A security guard stops him but then lets him go as he says him that he is entering the college to teach the students a very important lesson: "Live life!" He holds a football and keeps rotating it on his finger. Everyone begins to see him. He starts dancing and performs some stunts. They are affected by Tiger's energy. Everyone comes and starts dancing with him. It continues for some time. After it, Tiger points to Atif Aslam coming at a distance towards them. He embraces Tiger and dances for a short time. Atif sings and is seen sitting with children laughing. He then leaves and says goodbye to Tiger. Tiger comes ahead and says "Life, I'm coming."[11]
