Østfold County Municipality

Østfold County Municipality (Norwegian: Østfold fylkeskommune) is the regional governing administration of Østfold, Norway. The main responsibilities of the county municipality includes the running of 11 upper secondary schools with 10,000 pupils in addition to Skjeberg Folk High School.[1] It administrates the county roadways, public transport, dental care, culture and cultural heritage.[2] The county council has 35 members, and since 2007, Chairman of the County Council is Ole Haabeth of the Labour Party.[3] The administrative seat is located in Sarpsborg.
