1919 Maryland State Aggies football team

The 1919 Maryland State Aggies football team represented Maryland State College (which in 1920 became part of the University of Maryland) in the 1919 college football season. In their ninth season under head coach Curley Byrd, the Aggies compiled a 5–4 record, and outscored their opponents 93 to 74. The team defeated Virginia (13–0), St. John's College (19–14), and Catholic University (13–0), but lost to Swarthmore (6–10), West Virginia (0–27), Virginia Tech (0–6), and Yale (0–31).[1][2] In the final game of the season, the Aggies won the Maryland state championship by defeating Johns Hopkins by a 13 to 0 score in Baltimore.[3]
