The 1956 Cal Poly San Dimas Broncos football team represented Cal Poly Voorhis Unit[note 1] during the 1956 NCAA College Division football season. Cal Poly played as an independent in 1956.

Cal Poly San Dimas was led by head coach Bob Stull, in his first and only year at the helm. The Broncos finished the season with a record of six wins and two losses (6–2).[note 2][1] Overall, the team outscored its opponents 215–84 for the season.

1. California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) was located in San Dimas, California and known as Cal Poly Voorhis Unit from 1938 to 1956. However, it was more commonly known as Cal Poly (San Dimas).
2. The footnote PDF published by the Cal Poly Pomona athletic department, and available on their website, lists an additional 1956 game against the University of San Diego. However, the USD media guide does not list that game, and a newspaper article in the Los Angeles Times published after the Nov. 16 game says that their final record was 6‐2.
3. This stadium is the predecessor to the current Ted Runner Stadium on the University of Redlands campus, which was opened for the 1968 season
