This was the second consecutive cup Final that was scratched. AEK Athens were awarded[1] the Cup as the Greek Federation was late to determine a date for the match; since Olympiacos had to prepare for the next season's European Cup, this delay meant Olympiacos would not be able to participate in the Final.
