1987 Marshall Thundering Herd football team
The 1987 Marshall Thundering Herd football team represented Marshall University in the 1987 NCAA Division I-AA football season. The Herd were led by head coach George Chaump. They played their home games at Fairfield Stadium. The 1987 season ended with an 10–5 overall record and a trip to the Division I-AA Championship for the first time since in school history.[1]
