1997 New York Giants season
The 1997 New York Giants season was the franchise's 73rd season in the National Football League and the first under head coach Jim Fassel.[1] The team improved upon their previous season's output of 6–10. By winning ten games, plus additionally tying the Washington Redskins for first tie by the Giants since 1983,[2] the team qualified for postseason play for the first time in four seasons. In the playoffs, the Giants lost to the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card Game 23–22.
