2018 Sharks (rugby union) season

In 2018, the Sharks participated in the 2018 Super Rugby competition, the 23rd edition of the competition since its inception in 1996. They were included in the South African Conference of the competition, along with the Bulls, Jaguares, Lions and Stormers.

The Sharks won seven, drew one and lost eight of their matches during the regular season of the competition to finish third in the South African Conference, and in 8th place overall to qualify for the finals as a wildcard team. They lost in their qualifier match to the Crusaders.
